FiftyForward RSVP

Attention
Nonprofits!
Let RSVP volunteers help you with your large mailing projects.

Does your organization have a large mailing or a project that requires a group of volunteers?
RSVP partners with six senior high-rise communities that have willing volunteers to stuff, label, stamp, seal, and count large administrative projects at no cost to you!
The RSVP High-Rise Program works with nonprofit agencies that need assistance with large administrative tasks, such as mailings, to bring volunteer projects to homebound seniors in several residential communities.
RSVP high-rise volunteers have assisted several local agencies such as Conexion Americas, the Girl Scouts Council, Friends of Warner Parks, and Tennessee Voices for Children. Thousands of mail items are sent out each year with the help of these volunteers.

What Process Should Agencies Follow?
If your organization has a large mailing or project that requires a group of volunteers, you must call RSVP at least two weeks before you need your project completed.
RSVP schedules an appointment with one of its high-rise partners and notifies you of the details of your volunteer location.
Bring all materials to the volunteer location, and send a representative of your agency to manage the activity.
Provide a short presentation with success stories and literature about your agency.
Provide a snack and a drink for the volunteers!
Record the names and hours served for each volunteer and fax the list to the RSVP office at 743-3425.
Make sure the activity room is clean when you leave and say THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. (You can repeat steps 2 through 6 until your project is complete.)
Breathe a sigh of relief because your project is finished.
Remember the RSVP High-Rise Program for your next group and/or mailing project.
